Make a Spectacle of Yourself!
So you’ve always had 20/20 vision, right?
Every 8 seconds someone turns 40. This means 1.5 million people are having birthdays and if they don’t already wear reading glasses, they soon will be (97% by the time they are 50).
I realized about 2 years ago I noticed that it was getting more difficult to read. I ended up purchasing some ‘readers’ and hated how cheaply they were made and looked. I thought, surely there must be some alternative! That’s when I discovered eyebobs.
eyebobs reading glasses are designed for wearers who demand distinctive, high quality glasses that express their image and smack of attitude.
They are designed to make a great first impression with both color and style in mind. Why put on a terrific suit or wear a great pair of shoes, if you are going to put a cheap pair of readers on your face?
Handmade from top grade Italian plastics, eyebobs offer flexible hinges to keep frames comfortably in place. Long straight temples allow you to easily position eyebobs up or down the nose. Optical quality frames means they can be adjusted for a personalized fit. Hard colorful cases keep your eyebobs safe when not in use. Drugstore readers cannot compare.
eyebobs are not just about high quality frames and reading lenses, eyebobs have attitude. The eyes are the first thing people see so don’t hide your most expressive feature behind a pair of tacky drugstore readers. Your sight and your image are worth it!
eyebobs are not intended for the masses. Some pairs are slim, and some are meant for someone who is a little edgy, definitely has an opinion, may be a bit too outspoken, who dares to be different, and who doesn’t mind attracting attention.
Priced at $55, $65 or $75 – there are a large selection of frames available to fit every personality.
eyebobs bifocal sunreaders are the perfect solution for those of you who refuse to be that guy at the coffee shop wearing his sunglasses over his readers. With the built in bifocal reading lens you can look down to read and look up to see in the distance.
Give us a call and order yours today – you will wonder why you waited so long! eyebobs specializes in eyewear for the irreverent and slightly jaded.

Ermenegildo Zegna
Ermenegildo Zegna is celebrating its an uncommon achievement – it’s hundred year anniversary. Founded in 1910, now led by the fourth-generation Zegna family, the company is based in Milan. Although starting out with only a small mill and a few looms, the young entrepreneur immediately set himself a very ambitious task to compete in terms of quality with the world-leading British textile manufacturers. Today it produces around 2 million meters of fabric a year.
The mill has concentrated upon the production of high quality wool, cashmere and mohair fabrics. The production cycle creates two distinctive types of fabrics, worsted and woolen.
Worsted fabrics are generally cooler and lighter and have a smooth appearance. Worsted fabrics are made from longer fibers, which produce finer yarns.
Woollen fabrics have a bulkier look, are warmer and are used mainly for winter wear. Woolen fabrics are made with shorter fibers, which tend to ‘stick out’ from the yarn, giving the fabric its characteristic fuzzy, full and warm appearance. Woollen fabrics are generally heavier than worsted ones.
Zegna selects only the best cashmere. No longer only plain for blazers and overcoats but also patterned fabrics for luxury jackets and suits. Special lightweight and super-soft versions are also produced for between-season wear.
Zegna’s commitment to quality and the use of modern technology to back up artisan craftsmanship is the living tradition linking, past, present and future. Edward Baumann Clothiers is proud to offer a collection of Zegna fabrics for the discriminating individual.
Jacket Required
Whether you call it a jacket or a sport coat – a jacket is always a garment without a matching pair of trousers. Don’t confuse it with the blazer, which usually comes in navy, black or other solid colors and through history – most commonly has brass buttons.
It seems that men have rediscovered the advantages of a garment that is dressy and relaxed, classy and casual, ageless and elegant. In addition, the jacket is made to suit occasions that require more than casual clothes and less formality than the suit offers.
Yet, there is one issue that still deeps some men away from the jacket, the thought that it requires more decision-making when an outfit is put together. Which trousers go best? Is a tie required? Can I wear the jacket with a sweater? What type of fabric is best? Should I wear it for business? Hopefully this will help….
Jacket or suit? Jackets are indispensable for any gentleman’s wardrobe – the fact that no trousers are tied to the jacket is not a drawback but rather a great advantage. The suit is a fixed ensemble, while the jacket can turn up different on every occasion.
It must be stressed that jackets are always casual wear – in business, jackets are not replacements for the suit if the suit is customary, but if these are not worn in a profession, then jackets may be chosen.
For formal occasions, jackets are not normally worn either, but they are perfect for when a suit is too much. With a jacket, a gentleman is always well-dressed but relaxed. For occasions such as gallery openings, drinks in a bar or dinner in a restaurant, it is just right.
How to match it? Trousers are chosen according to the jacket’s fabric, the season and the occasion. The jacket is usually worn with a dress shirt, but it can be paired with other shirts or sweaters. Currently it not popular to pair it with polos, mocks or T’s. It is versatile enough to wear it with jeans, casual leather shoes or cowboy boots for a more casual look.
As much as the jacket is a gentleman’s wardrobe classic, it has changed over the decades. The current formula for the jacket is so flattering and comfortable to wear, that frankly, it is hard to image what will be altered.

Don’t be a Fashion Faux Pas Victim!
I am sure you hear me preach over and over that whether we want to believe it or not, others size us up by our appearance. That perception can reflect for us or against us. That being said, I came across an article over the weekend that gave evidence to this fact and the Japanese Prime Minister is learning this lesson first hand.
If you want to read the entire article please click this link – Otherwise, I have printed an excerpt from the article. Believe me, I couldn’t make this stuff up!
CNN News reported on May 13th, that “the Japanese Prime Minister Yukio Hatoyama has been struggling in the polls but his popularity has taken a nose dive since his appearance in public wearing a shirt that one U.S. fashion blogger described as “an item last seen whopping it up on the Arsenio Hall show.” Behold the AFP’s photo of the shirt below.”
“Hatoyama wore the multicolored monstrosity to a recent barbecue with voters. As CNN reports, the event was a tragically misguided effort on Hatoyama’s part to connect with the ordinary voter. His approval rating has dropped 9 points since.”
“Japanese fashion critic Don Konishi told CNN that the fashion misfire shows that Hatoyama is way out of touch with the lives of everyday citizens. Konishi also notes this isn’t Hatoyama’s first fashion offense as seen in the photos below.”
“This shirt comes from the ‘80s or ‘90s,” said Konishi. “His ideas and philosophy are old. Japan is facing a crisis and we can’t overcome it with a prime minister like this.”
“While it’s rare for a leader like Hatoyama to catch serious heat over an outfit, it certainly isn’t unprecedented. In fact, several leading American politicians have also suffered fallout in the ever-delicate matter of dressing to impress the voting public.” The article goes on to list some of the most notable cases.
So remember every day people judge you by your appearance – so what does your appearance say about you?
Your Time…
If you are a tall, short, large, or thin guy you will have problems finding clothes that fit you. A day shopping can easily turn into a 3 or 4 hour nightmare, where you visit 5 different stores and find nothing that fits you properly in the colors and styles you desire. A week and 20 hours of shopping later, you give up and compromise with a suit that is OK. Unfortunately, you are never really happy with this purchase, and you dispose of the suit within 2 to 3 years.
Your time has value. Every hour you spend shopping is time that could have been spent relaxing, enjoying the company of those you care about, or even working. Although custom clothing may cost more, it’s not unreasonable. I outfit many of my clients in less time it takes to start your car and drive to the store. Once we have your measurements down, we can pick out your Spring and Fall wardrobe in 10 to 15 minutes.
Custom clothing should and can be for everyone. How easy is it to have me come to you and pick out your wardrobe, clothes can be EASY, Remember…The world treats you like you treat yourself. Treat yourself like a King and the world will also!
Why Custom Clothing…
With custom clothing, selection is not a problem as that your choices are unlimited. What you select is made to your specifications; no compromises. The suits & shirts you select are one-of-kind masterpieces of fabric and thread just for you!
There is no comparison between custom clothing to off the rack clothing, there are limits to the adjustments and customizations you can make to a off the rack garment. You can’t turn a single vent jacket into a double vent, and large armholes that anyone can fit into are a fact of life with off-the-rack suits. This happens to men all the time, you see a beautiful 42 Regular off the rack and you ask if they have that in a 48? The salesperson will tell you they can make that suit fit you, because they want to make that sale! In reality they butcher the suit. Will the suit look okay, yes – but will it be as beautiful as that 42 Regular you first saw – no!
Even the amount you can bring in a shirt or suit jacket is limited by the garment’s original fit. It is very hard trying to reduce something by more than 5% and it can cause noticeable distortion, and in areas like the shoulders it is almost impossible.
With a custom suit, you are free to adjust as many aspects of your suit’s style as you want. There are no such things as strange requests; need one sleeve longer than the other (most men’s arms are not the same length). What a Beautiful thing Custom Clothing is!
Clothes Do Make The Man!
All of us know that the confidence is the key to success. People simply respond better to well dressed and groomed men. Women want confident men as well. They’re not interested in the insecure, timid or shy guy. However, when you look and feel your best, you improve your confidence and success. You talk differently, walk taller and have winning smile on your face. Everybody responds to you differently – the way you want it.
It is also crucial that you wear your clothes with a certain confidence. This is the reason why a dress shirt may look great on one person and disastrous on another similarly structured man. Attitude and confidence are both very important when you choose your clothes.
In my 20 years in doing business I have found that all successful men are confident and they are motivated to succeed. They are like tireless hunters going after their goals. Remember, boosting your confidence doesn’t change who you are. Confidence only changes how you see yourself and how others see and respond to you. When people respond to you well, it empowers you to take more control over your life, success and happiness.
Don’t forget…You’re not just buying clothes to wear to work, you’re buying your confidence!

A New Definition of Custom Suits…
‘Your Link For Style’
For centuries, cuff links is what truly distinguishes a gentlemen. Anybody can button up a shirt and two cuffs, but it’s not just anybody who takes the time to go the extra mile.
Cuff links are a completely voluntary element of style – that’s what gives them such prominence. Cuff links are the one wardrobe component that indicates an attention to detail. You can’t deny the impact they have on a custom shirt and a classic suit. For those reasons and more, cuff links are the true sign of style and civility.
I am excited to offer exquisite Scott Kay Cuff links from their new collection The Art of Man. I have been receiving numerous compliments each time I wear them! You should consider them a piece of jewelry that you can hand down to your children that have lasting memories!

Texas “Bucket List”
I recently found in a Texas Monthly Magazine a article called Texas “Bucket List” here is a brief clip from the article…
“Life is too short not to live it in Texas. But recently we asked ourselves an uncomfortable question: If we had only one year left on earth, what would we do in the Lone Star State?
A spirited conversation ensued, writers and editors submitted their picks, and more than two hundred ideas poured forth. We overlooked suggestions like seeing the Alamo or going to the Capitol because we assumed that everyone has already done those things (you have done them, right?). Instead, passionate arguments were made for who makes the best barbecue, which books to read, and where to see Willie Nelson perform. In the end, we asked the staff—and a few friends—to write about the 63 most interesting ideas in the bunch, which are numbered but not ranked.
Number 8 on the list was “Get a custom pair of Cowboy boots made.” I can definitely get this Bucket List wish for anyone! This is why I love making custom cowboy boots and I could not agree more to have this wish on a Texas Bucket List!
